Built by John Linderman in his spare time while working at Stone Boatyard. Venture raced in the San Francisco fleet until the 1980's, when it was shipped to Seattle to help start the Pacific Northwest fleet.

During its 17 years at Center for Wooden Boats, Y36 Venture took thousands of people out on the water in free sailing programs.
