Venture's Haul Out Photos
February 9 - July 17, 2001. New Hope Marine Seattle

Day 1February 9th. Haul out day photos. The trip from Venture's home at The Center for Wooden Boats to New Hope Marine. The haul out, pressure wash, and blocking. Picking up the shed pieces from Tarfon's owners, Tod and Kathy.
The shedFebruary 10 - 28. This series shows us building and shrink wrapping the shed.
PlankingMay 1 - 10. These shots show the planking.
The transom The evolution of a transom.
Progress May 26. The boat is being reassembled, piece by piece. The end is in sight, and it looks like we'll be in the water by early June.
One more thing... A few days before our June splashdown date, Seaton was caulking seams and came across such a large gap that he decided to pull a plank to replace it with a wider one. This revealed a previously inaccessible area under the maststep, with floors that had turned to mush. We added another month to our schedule, and replaced all six.
Home at last July 17. She goes back in the water and heads home.
