Clipper 38

Yankee Clipper
Two Yankees: Clipper, with Venture behind.
Clipper is Yankee No. 38. She was built in 1950 at the Stone Boat Yard in San Francisco and raced for many years in the bay area. In the late 1970's, Clipper went to Seattle, Washington and was extensively restored by Chris Chesley and family, who then donated her to the Center for Wooden Boats in 1990.

In 2001, Clipper was purchased by the Stone Boat Yard and returned to San Francisco for a complete restoration. She will remain in San Francisco and be the flagship of the Stone Boat Yard.
